2. How will these checks be tracked and
count toward my fundraising goal?
a. Once checks are received by ING, they will post as offline
donations on your fundraising page (you do not need to do anything)
b. Make sure your name and ING NYC Marathon are noted in the
subject line of the check so that you receive credit
3. Does ING Run For Something Better
accept matching gifts from companies?
Absolutely and we highly recommend you asking your employer if they offer matching gifts. In the past we have had many fundraisers successfully reach their fundraising minimum due in large part to these corporate matching programs.

7. Do Orange Laces Nation / ING Run For
Something Better have any training/running groups? Orange Laces Nation
is a virtual fundraising team and therefore does not have any official
training/running groups. With that being
said, we do have team members from various locations nationwide that may be
interested in running/training with other team members nearby. Please contact your ING NYC Orange Laces
Nation Team Captain, Kevin Beatty, if you are interested in looking into this
and he will do his best to assist you.
8. What happens if I do not raise my
minimum fundraising amount of $2,500? The New York Road
Runners require all charity runners to raise this minimum amount in order to
receive a race bib. Therefore, if you do
not raise $2,500, unfortunately you will not be able to run the 2012 ING New
York City Marathon. Don't worry though, that's what we're here for. We'll work with you every step of the way and provide as much support and guidance so you can raise your minimum without any issues.
