It's official...we're 86 days (13 weeks) away from the best race of your life, the ING New York City Marathon. As I write this update playing in the background I'm listening to Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind" - a very fitting song as I reminisce about the last few years of running the ING New York City Marathon.
I recommend if you haven't started your training, now is definitely the time. You should all have a free training program through Active.com as well. If you don't here's the easy instructions so you can download your training plan. Did I mention it was for FREE?
These next few weeks you should all be in a normal routine and training rhythm. I'd also recommend signing up for a half marathon to complete in within the next few months. This will also get you in the habit of the morning race jitters.
Here's the instructions for the FREE training plan:

7. Moving forward, you can access your online training calendar two ways: (1) Click on the links in your daily emails or (2) Go back to the training page (accessible from the race website) and enter your username and password in the login box on the right-hand side of the screen.
As always, let me know if you have any questions about your training. We're here to help you.
